A Tale of Two Regions

Coonawarra

With more than 20 years of Coonawarra winegrowing experience, the Vice family has played an instrumental role in developing and promoting the quality of wines produced from our region.

The wines from Highbank are recognized nationally and internationally as a quality leader in the Australian wine industry.

Highbank works in harmony with nature to protect the environment and its inhabitants, while producing the finest quality wines possible at an affordable price.

We believe that great wines begin in the vineyard. For us, winegrowing is a partnership with nature - a balance between our passion for excellence and our trust in the natural expression of soil, climate and vine, our unique ’ terroir ’.

The vines are grown without the use of chemical herbicides or insecticides.

Our family vineyards are located only on the highest banks of terra rossa soil, overlaying the cigar shaped limestone ridge of Coonawarra.

As custodians of the land, it is our responsibility to farm it carefully, harvest the fruit gently and nurture our wines -- with as little intervention as possible through a very natural winemaking process.

The Highbank ‘Single Vineyard’ wine is a classic blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc grapes which are carefully pressed to enhance their natural varietal fruit characteristics.

The bottom of the Highbank wine label (shown left) depicts the South Australian coastline, which represents the geographical indication of the Limestone Coast.

Highbank Vineyards also produce a wine labeled 'Limestone Coast Estate' with grapes sourced from within this larger geological area.

Delicately matured in the finest of French oak barriques, we offer our elegant wines to you with pride.

Please share your reviews with us, as you discover the quality of our Highbank wines.
